Welcome to the Restaurant and Hospitality Subgroup of the Food and Culinary Professionals Dietetic Practice Group!
This is an exciting and dynamic time to be a dietitian in the restaurant and hospitality industry. We are not only experts in nutrition, nutrition analysis and dietary guidance, but many of us also have expertise in food regulations, food policy, clean label initiatives, culinary innovation, food trends, quality assurance, sustainability & sourcing, marketing and/or public relations. If you are in this industry you are likely wearing many, many hats! With our growing responsibilities and skill set we definitely need FCP, this subgroup and each other as a resource.
Please feel free to reach out to me and share your ideas to enhance educational and networking opportunities. Also, if you have colleagues in the restaurant and hospitality industry or know dietitians that are just curious about this industry and want to learn more, please spread the word about this subgroup. The more members we have, the more we can enhance opportunities for this talented and food-loving group.
