The Food and Culinary Professionals DPG is seeking 2-3 DPG members to serve as authors of new Scope and Standards of Practice for RDNs (Competent, Proficient, and Expert) in food and culinary.
Author expectations include dedicating time (anticipated 17-18 months) for:
- document development (6-9 months),
- DPG and CDR’s Practice Competence Committee review process (4 months), and
- proofing and publication (4 months).
Authors should consider:
- flexibility in work schedule for conference calls with authors, DPG Executive Committee Reviewer, and CDR Staff;
- a variety of work/volunteer experience to speak to the depth and breadth of food and culinary;
- be familiar with the relevant resources, literature, and evidence-based research in food and culinary to provide background and references for the article content; and
- familiarity with FCP DPG’s core competencies.
Authors will be supported by both FCP DPG and CDR during the project. CDR will provide orientation and training call(s), document development support, among other resources.
FCP will provide an honorarium to authors upon completion of the project.
